In the build up to the Rugby World Cup 2011, one of The South African Rugby Union’s (SARU) objectives is to raise awareness on the laws of the game. Working with agency Brand Inc. AUGUST conceptualised and produced four television commercials for SARU to do this job in a humorous manner. Centered around a key character who thinks he knows everything about the game, but clearly doesn’t, the ads educate on the laws, generate interest in the game and entertain at the same time.
