AUGUST is working with one of South Africa’s largest retailers, Pick n Pay to boost the quality and output of their online video content. Appointed to work across the board, the focus (naturally) is on food and specifically recipes, but also spreads into wine and event-related content. Bringing in a more strategic approach, August is able to ensure Pick n Pay gets more value from the budget spent on video, planning ahead to create content in advance as well as shooting additional content for social media during the main shoots. Clients that are willing to plan far ahead and generate a content schedule will always benefit in terms of the quality of content and reduced cost thereof, and Pick n Pay is a great example of a local brand taking this approach and making online video a serious part of the marketing mix.
